Basil Payne has written many prose pieces for radio and several radio plays.

Five Albatrosses, a Great Irish Elk, and a Grave in Glasnevin can be downloaded here. This prose piece was presented on RTE Radio in 1989. A recording of this piece can be heard in the audio recordings section of this site.
